Richard Bank leads Millennium International Consultants. Richard’s career spans more than three decades as an attorney, a diplomat and an international consultant. He has worked with clients in the United States, Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East.

Richard is a former senior official at the U.S. Department of State, and as a result, brings a unique perspective to matters involving the inter-governmental aspects of doing business, political risk evaluation, legislation and policy making.

At the State Department, Richard developed and implemented U.S. international shipping policy and supervised U.S. diplomatic activity in connection with the shipping, supply chain and trade practices and policies of foreign governments. He maintained liaison with U.S. and foreign shipping and trade officials. He has testified before U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate Committees on major legislation, and chaired numerous U.S. delegations in bilateral and multilateral trade negotiations and conferences.

Richard’s background gives him a unique understanding of the essential confluence between business, government and regulatory structures in the commercial world. He brings this understanding to bear in his work with clients, facilitating their needs and their desire to do business, or provide services, in an efficient manner...wherever a client's interests are located geographically. The goal in this work is to maximize client profitability and/or operations, and support their ability to provide leading edge services in the international marketplace.

Richard has authored articles on international business, government relationships, supply chain security and on transportation/logistics. He has been a speaker and moderator at numerous conferences and meetings worldwide. He is an active member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, and has served on a number of corporate boards of directors.
